Supporting families through Motor Neurone Disease

Recently, Sam Stuchbury shared with us a touching story he wrote about his father, Kevin, who battled Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and passed away.
During Kevin's final months with MND, our focus was enabling the family to spend precious time together. Kevin's wife, the sole earner, was deeply concerned about leaving him alone, given his constant need for care. By helping them access Individualised Funding (IF), she was able to pay a support worker from Lifewise who she said provided the best care for Kevin. We also encouraged her to take breaks, which she said made a huge difference.
Despite their challenging situation, the family remained positive, always striving to make the best of a tough situation. It was truly an honor to be part of the family's journey.
