Hello.  Kia ora.  Malo e lelei.  Talofa lava.  Kia orana. Ni hao.  Hi.

What we believe – people come first

Each of us is unique. From one person to the next, what we want from life, our talents and our experiences are all different. And embracing these differences through the giving and receiving of support is a hallmark of our inclusive community. It’s how we all get along, and get things done.

At Taikura Trust we want disabled people to be included, to exercise their right to participate and not be held back from living the life they want to lead.

We support almost ten thousand individuals in the Auckland region who, every single day, face the challenges of disability. They meet them head on and with the right support they overcome them. But it’s the support that’s critical.

That’s why we are totally focused on delivering support that removes the disabling effects of our community – support that empowers and results in positive change. Not the kind of change that works fine for a week or two, but effective change that is reliable, sustainable and liberating.
